These hand drawn illustrations are from travels across Europe and South East Asia. All of these were done on location, perched on pavements or street corners with a ink pen and a portable watercolor set. Its a great way to catch the energy and immediacy of a place over an extended period A lot of these were either done on holiday or, in the case of the Myanmar pictures, for a specific illustration trip. This is perhaps the kind of illustration I enjoy the most - getting outside and really digging into a location over an hour or so to capture how things evolve.
